Obituary of John Edward Frajman

His family includes his wife of over fifty-seven years, Edith of Phoenix; son, William Frajman of Donahue, Iowa, daughter, Linda Hamson of Boise, Idaho; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a brother, Richard Frajman of Cedar Rapids. John was born July 26, 1919 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of John and Margaret (Wilgocki) Frajman. After graduating from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, he enlisted with the United States Navy. He reenlisted when World War II broke out. He continued his military service following the war with thirty-four years in the Naval Reserve. On August 11, 1945, John married Edith Crandall in Brooklyn, NY. The couple moved to Cedar Rapids that year where they lived on 30th. Street NE. In 1951, he accepted a position in the Engineer Department of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City. They lived in the Iowa City and Coralville area until moving to Phoenix in 1978. In Phoenix John was a member of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church. John and Edith enjoyed traveling both within the United States and to many foreign countries abroad. Memorial donations can be made to the Music Department of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church in Phoenix, AZ.
