Obituary of Chris P. DeGroot

July 7, 2016, Chris DeGroot passed away at the age of 62. Services will be Friday, July 15, 2016 at 10 am at St Wenceslaus in Iowa City. Chris was born in Green Bay, WI to Roger DeGroot and Mary Ann Berceau DeGroot. He and his wife, Barbara, have four children: Maren DeGroot McFarlane married to Daniel McFarlane, Analies DeGroot, Kaes DeGroot married to Abby Whittenbaugh DeGroot, and Andre DeGroot. As an architect, Chris enjoyed designing buildings around Iowa, the Midwest, and El Paso. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made through Gay & Ciha to the family to carry on his legacy through the maintenance of his sailboat.
