Obituary of Deloris Fay Miller

Deloris “Fay” Miller, 100 of Coralville died Friday, April 21, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in the Palliative Care Unit. Fay was born and reared in Grover Hill, Ohio. As a young woman, she managed the Franklin Ice Cream Store, in Toledo, Ohio. Throughout her life, family and lending a helping hand to others meant everything to her. Fay’s husband, Ross Charles Miller preceded her in death in 1997. They were married for 57 years. She is survived by two daughters, a daughter-in-law, two grandsons and two great-grandchildren: Diana Miller and Carmen Griggs of Iowa City, IA; Sandy Miller of North Liberty, IA; J.R. Barnes of Marion, IA, Todd Barnes (Rachel) of Coralville; and Grace and Beau Barnes. Fay took great pride in her family and cherished her relationships with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Unitarian Universalist Society of Iowa City (UUSIC) for the Meditation Garden @ 2355 Oakdale Road, Coralville, IA 52241 or AlphaNet, Inc (rare lung disease support network) @ 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Coral Gables, FL 33134.
