She was the vibrant, cheerful life of the party!  Rose was a woman of compassion and genuine kindness who loved helping others and never met a stranger and when she did take time to herself, she enjoyed that time spent painting, drawing, gardening, watching the birds and enjoying the companionship of her cats.  Rose had many challenges throughout her life and faced every one of them head on.  Her life was devoted to her children, and making sure they knew that each and every day of their lives.

Her family includes her three children, Korwin Dougherty and Madeline and Harrison La Grange; siblings and their spouses, Robert La Grange (Dolores) of Amana, Mark La Grange (Sharron) of Amana, Cecelia Burbach (Gary) of Marion, Colette Slezak (Don) of Cedar Rapids, Ed La Grange of Swisher, Jim La Grange (Dot) of West Union, Sydney La Grange (Karen) of Amana, Monica Bender of Cedar Rapids, Mary La Grange of Genoa, WI and Anna Mumm (Randy) of Walford.  Rose was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John.
