Carol Ann Stagg was born October 12, 1939, in Springdale, Iowa, the daughter of Ray and Lura (Hartsock) Stagg.  She graduated from Solon High School in 1958.  She was united in marriage to Daryl Neitderhisar on June 4, 1960, at First United Methodist Church in Iowa City.   The couple have farmed together near North Liberty since their marriage.  They were partners in every sense of the word.  Carol Ann enjoyed much in life—family, neighbors, bowling, travel, her legion auxiliary work and friends, and activities with the Johnson County Pork Producers.  A special time in her life was helping to raise a couple of special nephews, Steve and Kenneth Stagg, who lived with Carol and Daryl for a year.

Her family includes her husband, Daryl; siblings, Margaret Seebeck, Tipton; Kathleen (Thomas) Murray, Berryville, Arkansas; Donald Stagg (friend, Marilyn), Cedar Rapids; Leslie Stagg, Nisswa, Minnesota;  Mattie Lou (Gordon) Lewis, Lynnville, Iowa; and Wayne (Nancy) Stagg, Iowa City.   Carol Ann was preceded in death by her parents Lura and Ray Stagg, and siblings Elsie Sword, Ruth Beranek, Keith Stagg, Billy Stagg, Howard Stagg, Marilyn Rouner and Kay Blink.

Carol Ann’s family wishes so extend heartfelt thanks to all the very compassionate and sincere caregivers in the Intensive Care Unit at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.  No words will ever be able to describe our gratitude.
