Charles R. Heyn was born September 19, 1941, in Chicago, IL the son of William and Geraldine (Reynolds) Heyn.  Following graduation from J. Sterling Morton High School in Cicero, IL, he attended and received a degree in finance from Northwestern University. He spent his career in finance with various companies in various cities across the United States.

Chuck married Dianne Marie Sterba on December 14, 1963, in Cicero, Illinois.  The couple and their family have lived all over, but no matter where they lived Chuck became active in the local life of that community.  Of course he was involved in all his son’s activities in school and  sports. Active in their church and community.  When his son went off to Iowa State University, he became one of their biggest Cyclone fans!  And when his grandchildren came on the scene, there was no better sound to his ears than being called “Grandpa” by them and spoiling them beyond what Grandma did.  His family, his friends, his community, and his country was his reason every morning to smile and count his many blessings.

His family includes his wife, Dianne; son and his wife, Dave and Sarah Heyn; grandchildren, Thomas and Anna.  Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Paul Heyn in 2008.

Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Chuck’s family and his arrangements.
