Samantha Lynch- Funeral Director Intern

Working in a funeral home has not always been on my radar, however that all changed when in High school when I babysat for our local funeral director. The more I became exposed to the profession, the greater my passion grew. I graduated from DMACC (Des Moines Area Community College) in the Spring of 2024, will be headed into Mortuary School in the Fall of 2024 at DMACC. I look forward to being able to interact with families and pursue my internship closer to home. Prior to working at Gay and Ciha, I worked at Oaknoll within the health center and was a stay-at-home mom for ten years.

The part I love most about being in this profession is the compassion that comes from it. I also love being in the office working with our incredible staff that has welcomed me with open arms.  

I enjoy being with our kids and significant other, traveling, outdoors, sports, reading.
