Obituary of Louis F. Bulechek

Louis F. Bulechek, age 75 formerly of Iowa City, died suddenly Monday, March 28, 2005, at his home in Rock Island, IL. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. There will be a gathering time for family and friends at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City after 12:30 until services on Saturday. Memorial donations can be made in Louis’s memory to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetics Association. Louis Francis Bulechek was born July 10, 1929 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of Antone and Frances (Reha) Bulechek. During the Korean Conflict Louis served in the Untied States Army. He has resided in Rock Island for many years where he was associated with the First National Bank of Moline for over twenty-seven years. Louie enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, and he loved tending his flowers. His family includes his sister, Delores Parsons and her husband, George of Iowa City; brother-in-laws: Vernon Byers of West Branch, and Clair Brown of Solon; sister-in-laws, Anna Bulechek of Iowa City, and Doris Bulechek of Queen City, MO; six nieces and six nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Christine Byers and Alma Brown; three brothers, Larry, Paul and Anthony; and two siblings in infancy.
