Obituary of Barbara O'Connor Brooks

Barbara O’Connor Brooks, 72, of Iowa City, died Thursday, December 5, 2024.

Barbara was born November 18, 1952 in Pittsburg, CA, the daughter of Mary Elizabeth O’Connor.  Barb grew up in Rockford, Illinois where she attended school and graduated from Rockford West high school with the class of 1972. 

Her family includes her sisters, Deborah Wollard and Mary Dalpra; and her nephew Jackson Wollard and niece, Lia Wollard.    

She was preceded in death by her mother, and her brother, Diser J. Gadwell.

In accordance with Barbara’s wishes, no services will take place.  Barbara’s cremains will be interred at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Rockford, Illinois at a later date.
