Condolences
Uncle Larry was such a kind and warm hearted person. In 1987 he generously welcomed my mom and me into his home in Bourbonnais, Illinois, for a period of time after my birth in a nearby town. He even took us to the hospital when she went into labor, a kindness I will always be grateful for. Because of that, I have always felt a special connection to him and Aunt Laura.
I’ll always cherish the memories of those Thanksgivings from 1990s through the 2000s when they would visit everyone in Fremont, California to celebrate the holidays. He would always ask if I wanted to get some coffee, even before I was old enough to be drinking it. He always carried a smile and a calm, positive attitude, making everyone around him feel at ease.
Wishing him peace and sending my deepest condolences to Aunt Laura and cousin Michael and Tea.

Dear Laura and Family,
It has been 51 years since I bumped into Larry in the copier room at Armour. He was making a copy of his PhD thesis to prepare for his oral exam. We chatted a bit, and our friendship started to grow. With the move to New York, and back to to Illinois, our friendship spilled over into our families. My memories of Dr. Ho include his being an excellent scientist and manager, those wonderful Chinese New Years parties, trips into Chicago for dinners in Chinatown, and rides in his fancy new vans. I recently told a theology reading group about the importance of handshakes as Larry had explained to me several years ago. His ability to master cultural changes and languages were impressive; both our families weathered the storms associated with the rapid and trying moves between New York and Illinois. Many people have benefited from Larry's work on peptides, especially the Calcitonin for the relief of bone pain. And yes, we used to joke with him and Laura about their road trips across the country where they would travel into a different state, stop the van, step out onto the ground, take a picture, and then, off to another state. Annette and I, and our family offer our condolences, and we give thanks that our paths crossed and for the times we shared. May God bless you now and always.

Dear Auntie Laura, Dion, and Theresa,
I am so sorry for your loss and we are grieving with you with the passing of my Da Ba Ba. I try to find solace in knowing he is at peace and together with our family in heaven. My Da Ba Ba was a most valuable facilitator, bringing our family together to bond over long road trips in his van and capturing these moments with his camcorder for us remember. These bonds we have today and we will carry them forward. Always kind and caring, I’m so grateful for his guidance over the years. I will miss the fun adventures and his laughter but I know his spirit will live on within all of us who have been influenced by his amazing life. We love you Da Ba Ba, now and forever.

Auntie Laura, Michael and Teresa,
Sending you our deepest condolences during this difficult time and keeping you and your families in our prayers.
Uncle Larry has left us with such wonderful memories including his love of driving and road trips in his van. He will be remembered for his big smiles and his laughter. At every family gathering he always had a camera or video camera in hand to capture every moment big and small.
May he rest in peace with Our Lord in heaven.
With much love,
Anita, Felix, Savio and Mattia
姑媽, Teresa, Michaels and the Ho family,
Sending our deepest condolences during this extremely difficult time. Find peace and comfort looking back on beautiful memories made. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I will never forgot the kindness and grace that 姑丈 showed towards my family when we would come visit in Kankakee and Iowa. He was always so hospitable showing us around in his van that we all loved riding in as kids. Every morning, he would always ask everyone if they wanted coffee with a huge smile. 姑丈 your love and presence will be missed dearly.
Love, Karen, Keith, Kristian and Kennedy
Thank you for the joy you brought to the life of me and my family. I'll always remember the fun rides in your larger than life vans. We got a small glimpse of life through your eyes with all your photos and videos, wish we could see you on the other side of the lens with your warm smile or jovial laugh.
Our love, thoughts, and prayers go out to aunt Laura, Tea, Mike, and your families.
On behalf of my parents (Paul and Teresa Ho) and I, we are so sorry for your loss and also mourn the loss of our uncle and an older brother to my dad. “Da Ba Ba” as I fondly called him, always had a smile on his face and was warm and loving. I still remember road trips in his epic vans and then his love of filming my dad filming our family gatherings. He loved going with my dad and our grandpa to the coffee shop. My dad shared how when he first came to America, about to start his grad school in an unfamiliar and foreign country Uncle Larry picked him up - being the supportive and loving older brother- and helped my dad settle into his new home. We love Da Ba Ba and will miss him dearly.
I'm very sorry for your loss. We'll always remember how kind your father was when my family and I first came to this country living in his house in New Rochelle. Every year I would look forward to seeing your dad at Christmas time. Though he was a man of few words, it was the look of gratitude and happiness I could see on his face as he spent time with family. He was known for being the silent camera man at all family events and as the years progressed, the cameras got smaller from the original VHS shoulder carry size. We will all miss your dad and keep him in our thoughts.
