grandma was the best. she had a farm tire sandbox for me on the back patio of the farm house. i have so many memories from when i lived with grandma. the raspberry bushes that lined the driveway, her tomato garden and all the huge green caterpillars i used to collect. she baked so many pies. and for ever one of my birthdays she would make me my favorite ice cream cake.

we used to have a big work days in the timber below the field in the summer. bbqing and helping cut back over growth. big ol burn piles. the smell i could never forget.

i love my grandma so much, i have nothing but sweet memories of her.

Aunt Joyce was an amazing person, I have many memories if special times. When I brought my ‘42 Farmall B to Iowa for a 3-day tractor ride, we re-created a family photo of her sitting on “Little B” that we both learned to drive on. She made the best egg salad sandwiches, my fav, & brought some so we could have lunch (another tractor ride). Looking forward to reuniting with her in heaven.

Joyce and I were sister-in-laws when her sons and my son Craig Barkalow and Louann were growing up She was a wonderful mother and was a great cook! We spent many hours together in the summers and she will be missed! Blessings
