Obituary of Debra Jean Starbuck

Debra Jean Starbuck. Age 70, of Oxford, passed away on February 16, 2025 at her home.

A private family Celebration of Debra’s Life will be held at a later date.

Born on December 15, 1954 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Debra was the daughter of Jerry and Karen (Verry) Starbuck.  She grew up in Iowa City and attended Iowa City High School.

Debra was a BINGO caller and bartender at the Eagles Club.  She also worked in the kitchen at the Waterfront HyVee for many years.  She enjoyed playing BINGO and cards, going to garage sales and thrift stores.  Debra also loved camping, fishing and spending time at her cabin with her family in Sutliff.  Deb especially loved her dogs.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Debra’s family includes her two sons, Corey Starbuck and Eric Starbuck, both of Iowa City; a granddaughter, Ellie Walsh; and two sisters, Niki Starbuck and Melanie (Bob) Stutzman of Wellman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Taylor Walsh; and a brother, Rob Starbuck.
