Donna came into my life because of her husband Wayne...who I worked with in the School of Social Work. He adored her and so did we, the staff and faculty of the School. Donna and Wayne would graciously welcome us into their home on election eve to watch the results, and on many other occasions. She was so welcoming and open and committed to truth and justice.
I know Donna was very gifted in many ways...but the one gift I personally benefited from was her annual Christmas Cookie tray which was shared with everyone in North Hall (the School's IC central hub). She knew how to uplift, and nourish, and truly made the best cookies ever.
Rest in peace and know you are loved.
With gratitude,
Kate Kemp
