I met Roger in 2023 and he immediately became a beloved friend! He found out I loved apples and brought one freshly picked full bag of apples a few days after our first meeting . The next day, he brought two more bags! He brought so many apples that I started taking them to my military reserve events for soldiers that would get light headed after a blood draw. They were truly a highlight. Roger also never ceased to make me laugh. I loved listening to his adventures in playing a joke on some unsuspecting soul. He also always had a turtle chocolates for me, or a beautiful flower that he freshly picked from some unsuspecting neighbor's Garden! He was always a bright spot in my day when he would visit the shop, and will always be a bright spot in my life! Thank you Roger for YOU! I love you always and know you are always with us! To David you are your dad's first greatest earthly gift, he was/is so proud to be your father! Tight hug to you and the family's aching heart!
I was so sorry to see that Roger passed away. I first met him when he worked part time for Earl Stratton, helping with custom work on my dad‘s farm. He was always fun to be around and I enjoyed chatting with him. In recent years, I saw him at PB Body Shop whenever we had an encounter with a deer. He was still the same nice gentleman, fun to visit with and very friendly. He will be greatly missed in the Tiffin community.
Roger was a friend. I'm so blessed to have known such a genuine sweet man. He once told me I had beautiful teeth... which is the most unusual compliment I've gotten. Must have been because he made me smile. I'll never forget how loved and special I am because Roger made it a point to look into my eyes and insist that I remember that. I think it's Roger who is loved and special and I'll never forget him. What a sweet man. God must have needed him back. Heaven is a better place now. Blessings to his family and his many friends!!!
Roger will be greatly missed! He would always stop at my parent’s home and check on them and Dani! His weekly/bi-weekly phone calls just to “check in” are already missed so much! Roger was one of my best friends, always supporting with great wisdom and his warm hugs! I loved joking with him about potentiallly losing his PB shop job as he always was late because he stopped and talked to everyone! He already is missed beyond words by so many of his friends!
We use to live a few houses up from Roger. He was so nice and kind. When our girls were little and selling something for school. He always bought something. He truly will be missed by all who knew him. Thinking of all his family and friends ❤️
