Obituary of Tohadja Emmanuel Alinoti

Tohadja Emmanuel Alinoti passed away on May 8, 2025, in Iowa City, Iowa.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2730 Bradford Dr., Iowa City.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

 He was born on January 1, 1960, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Throughout his life, Tohadja Emmanuel embraced many roles with dedication and resilience. In his homeland, he worked as a fisherman, mechanic, farmer, and businessman professions that reflected both his resourcefulness and strong work ethic. After moving to the United States, he continued to support himself and his family through employment in a warehouse and at a fast food restaurant.

Tohadja Emmanuel was the proud father of ten children. Those who knew him remember him for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. His presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him.
