My deepest sympathies to Shirley’s family. Although our lives only intersected for a couple of years while I was in nursing school, I have never forgotten her generosity and kindness. May she rest in eternal peace.

Shirley and Jim hosted Larry and me for Hawkeye football game tailgating for almost 20 years. What fun we had before and after those games! Shirley was a great host and friend. She will be so missed by so many of us.
