Obituary of Estefany Morales-Garmendia

Estefany Morales Garmendia nació el 29 de enero de 2007, en elestado de Georgia. Rodeada de sus padres, anhelada por sus hermanos, nació sana, pero a los dos meses de edad, comenzó a tener convulsiones. A la edad de dos años, le diagnosticaron síndrome de Dravet y TDAH. Sin embargo, era una hija alegre y cariñosa que amaba las aventuras y amaba a los niños. También era una hija única y auténtica a la que le encantaban los colores neón. A pesar de su condición, era una hija amada por sus padres y amada por todos los que la rodeaban. Ella estuvo rodeada de amor y compañía hasta el último momento de su vida, dejando un vacío en los corazones de sus seres queridos, pero también hermosos recuerdos. El 17 de mayo de 2025, su alma y espíritu volaron a un lugar mejor en la presencia de su Padre Celestial.

Estefany Morales Garmendia was born on January 29, 2007, in the state of Georgia. Surrounded by her parents, longed for by her siblings, she was born healthy, but at two months old, she began having seizures. At the age of two, she was diagnosed with Dravet syndrome and (TOAD). However, she was a cheerful and loving daughter who loved adventures and loved children. She was also a unique and authentic daughter who loved Neon colors. Despite her condition, she was a kind daughter, spoiled by her parents, and loved by all those around her. She was surrounded by love and company until the last moment of her life, leaving a void in the hearts of her loved ones, but also beautiful memories. On May 17, 2025, her soul and spirit flew to a better place in the presence of her Heavenly Father.

Funeral Services will be at Noon on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at IPUL (Iglesia Pentecostal Unida Latino American Church) in Iowa City.  There will be a time of visitation beginning Wednesday May 21, 2025 until the time of services on Thursday.  Estefany will be buried at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City.
