Dear Kavitha

We will miss you. You were my buddy in walking, hiking and biking for last several years. I will cherish and fondly remember all the times we spent together. Kavitha deeply cared for her friends and remembered to ask their well being if they were sad or worried. Her memory was impeccable to even her last days. She loved to cook and feed us goodies. Even when she couldn’t eat she was worried if he had eaten or not. She was a confidant and private person who never asked for help even when she needed it most. She was very strong and independent always.

Our condolences to Santhana, Sushma, Archana, Matt and their extended family on this unfathomable loss. We are always here to support and console them in this time of heavy grief.

Chithi — as I fondly called her — was an incredible person.

She always cared deeply for me and made sure I was doing okay here in the U.S. She never missed my birthday, and she remembered my family’s birthdays too. From now on, my birthdays will never feel the same without her warm wishes.

She had a profound impact on my life. I’ll always remember her words of wisdom — how she gently reminded me to let go of things beyond my control, and how she constantly encouraged me to keep going, no matter how hard things got.

I will forever miss her voice. I will forever miss the way she said, “Hey Sonali,” with such love. I truly don’t know how I’m going to come to terms with this loss. She meant so much to me and my family.

Chithi was one of the kindest souls I have ever known.

Life just won’t be the same without her.

And the tears — they seem endless whenever I think about all the beautiful memories we shared.
