
Obituary of Wilma M. Blair
Wilma M. Blair, age 92, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction.
Visitation will be held from noon until 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. A time of sharing to celebrate Wilma’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be held in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Born on November 25, 1932, at home in Polk City, Wilma was the daughter of Alva and Gladys (Milliken) Fees. She grew up and attended school in Polk City.
Wilma was united in marriage to Gerald “Jack” Allen on April 30,1949, in Polk City, Iowa. They later divorced. She was then united in marriage to Keith Blair on August 22, 1968, in Rock Island, Illinois. Wilma was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking and nobody ever went hungry. Wilma liked to play BINGO and always looked forward to trips to the casino. She would often host the BINGO bus on trips to Jackpot Junction.
Wilma’s family includes her daughters, Cheryl Newville of Northwood, and Karlene (Chuck) Campbell of Greensboro, North Carolina; sons, Ron Allen (Diane Mercer-Boner) of Kalona, and Rod (Bonnie) Blair of Washington; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jan Cory and Nancy (Gary) Peterson; and brothers, Robert Fees and Gary Fees.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Keith; former husband, Gerald; daughter-in-law, Paula Allen; son-in-law, John Newville; one great-grandchild; a sister, Beverly Fees; brother, Chet Fees; sister-in-law, Pat Fees; and a brother-in-law, Gary Cory.
