John was just the absolutely nicest man ever. I met him when I took a position in Plant Engineering working for Cecil Delange.
He had such a gentle demeanor and a smile that made the day! He was a rather quiet guy but sure was one of the gang in the office. He was so pleasant to work wih. He was friends with everyone He andJeff Kutz were always planning something. Pranks were not off the list of possibilities. It was a pleasure to know him, work with him, and to call him friend. Would it be possible for the family to share the prayer that was read at the Memorial Service, please?
It was perfect.
The vocalist singing "You Got a Friend in Me" was so beautiful and it fit John so well.
Thank you for a wonderful lunch and service.

Our sympathies to the Reimler family. John was truly one of the nicest persons I have ever met. His warm and effervescent personality made him instantly likeable.
I met John at the Waterloo Works where he had the respect of many co-workers. Being an organizer, John and several others would pull together fishing junkets to many places and during any season. I was lucky enough to be included in some of these events and they are among my fondest memories.
I had lost track of John after he transferred to Harvester Works but thought of him often. It was sad to here of his passing but reassuring to know that he brightened the lives of so many more people during his journey. He lives on in my memory.

Deepest sympathy to the family of John. He always had a great smile and was an all around nice guy. We enjoyed his company in school, church , and at John Deere. RIP John
My deepest sympathies to John’s family and friends.
We moved into John’s neighborhood about two years ago and John was quick to introduce himself and offer support if we ever needed it. While walking his dog, he was always willing to stop and talk to myself, my wife, and two children.
We will remember John for how sweet and warm he treated us.
In sympathy to John’s family
I had the privilege of working with John when he was at Harvester Works in East Moline. I was a consultant at that time and came almost weekly to work with John, Pat Regan, Brian Rolfs, Ryan MacDonald, Paul Scheibelhut, and later, Larry Hosford. It was often that I would leave my office saying “I’m going to The Harv to work with Reimler, Rolfs & Regan.”
I enjoyed working with this crew, and John brought a sense of calmness and resolution that we could solve any problem and then move on. Nothing was earth shattering, the sky wasn’t falling, and one way or another we would figure it out. I appreciate John’s patience, and sense of humor toward a young woman engineer consulting in a large manufacturing facility.
I really missed him when he moved to Waterloo, and feel it a great privilege to have worked with him.
John Reimler was a gift, I will be forever grateful.
My deepest sympathies to John’s family and friends.
As part of his youth, we participated in school activities and on the golf team in Sumner.
Will be remembered as a nice man and a gentle soul

My condolences to the family. John was always such a quiet, good-looking guy. He was 6 yrs. older than I, but always had a crush on him. :-) Our families were such good friends way back when. Prayers to you all.

John and I were friends in the 70’s, sharing some mutual friends and playing softball in Waterloo. He was so very kind, and will be missed.

I attended school with John until my senior year.
He can be most accurately described as nice….simply nice to everyone in his own quiet unassuming way.
Definitely a good guy. My condolences to his family and sisters.
