Such happy memories of time spent with Don and Kathy both in The States and in the UK. With love. Lynne and Hugh
Kathy, I was so sorry to learn about Don's passing! He had been a very special friend since high school and even performed our marriage ceremony 51 years ago! I am so thankful that I was able to spend some time with both of you at our last class reunion! I will be praying for you. We know this is a very difficult season in your life. Know that we really care about you and will continue to pray for you. May you find peace and comfort in the love and support of others, but even more so in knowing God is your Comforter and Strength. Hold on to the happy times and precious, wonderful memories. Psalm 116:15 Stephanie Long
Praying for God’s comfort for you and your family.

Don and I met in 1973 when we were both young bucks in ministry. When Don retired, he and Kathy attended the Christmas Eve services at the church I was pastoring. He said: “That was the best Christmas Eve sermon I have heard in the last 40 years.” I responded: “That is the first Christmas Eve sermon you have heard in the last 40 years because you have preached Christmas Eve sermons for the last 40 years.” I will miss Don, a dear friend.

Ken and I have enjoyed knowing Don and Kathy through the years. I especially remember the New Years Eve get-togethers at Yon and Saralees' home, and the kindness of Don's conversations through the years. My prayers are with Kathy and the family that the passing of time and the love of family and friends will bring you strength and surround you with comforting memories.
I grew up with Lee in Pocahontas IA, where Don was a Pastor throughout our High School years. I have too many memories to list, but I will never forget our trip to England. He was a great man. I lost my father six weeks ago, so you have my utmost sympathies.

Don and Kathy sat behind me at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in IC. He loved texting me during church and then poking me to make sure I saw the text. It brought be endless joy. A brilliant and loving man. I will miss him dearly. My love to you, Kathy.
Don and Kathy served my small church in Colesburg for many years. They were a delightful couple and loved by all. My parents (Virgil and Janet Brockmeyer) and my aunt (Marie Schenke) were especially close to them and remained in contact until their deaths.
They always had nothing but positive things to say about him (and Kathy) as not only a pastor, but as a person.
Sending my prayers and hopes that memories bring comfort.

Don was one of my best friends growing up in Plymouth. I spent most of my free time at the Hodson farm working and playing with Don and his brothers. I remember all the time we spent playing game’s and being in the hay mow in the cow barn. We also spent many hours out in the pasture fishing, swimming, camping out at night and getting the cows up to the barn for milking. One thing I think everyone from Plymouth remembers is the old skating rink where Don and I would go almost every Saturday night along with most everyone from the area would congregate. I will never forget Don and the Hodson family. God Bless them.
