Obituary of Steven Leroy Nunnally

Steven Nunnally, age 58, of Iowa City, passed away on July 17, 2025.

Steven was born July 11, 1967, in Iowa City. He was the son of Jimmy Nunnally and Kay (Evans) Nunnally. He grew up in the Iowa City area where he attended City High. He then enlisted in the U.S  Army. Following his service, Steven returned to the area where he worked at the Deli Mart, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and Jimmy Johns.

Steven found great joy in collecting different items, camping, and fishing.

Steven’s family includes his daughter, Hailey; sons, Jeffrey, Cayden, and Brantley; mother, Kay (Evans) Nunnally; father, Jimmy Nunnally; brother, Christopher (Anita); aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A gathering for family and friends celebrating Steven’s life will be held from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service with military honors at 5:00 PM.
