Aunt Dorothy was a gem. I have so many happy memories of visiting the Jansen family in Iowa. She was a loving matriarch who knew how to manage the Prater kids when we’d descend to Wood Street (later Croydon Crest) from New York every other summer. We were always treated with great food, laughter, games, outings, and staying up late.

Aunt Dorothy’s quick smile and cheerful laugh will stay with me forever.

Peace to her memory.

I fondly remember Dorothy and her husband, Bill from the times I visited them in Iowa with Vicki; and also the times that they came for a visit with Vicki and her family, here in Wichita Falls. Dorothy was always so friendly and I always felt like she was glad to see and visit with me. She made me feel like a member of the Jansen family, when I visited them in Iowa. I know she will be sorely missed by all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A life well lived and a loving family to carry on the Jansen traditions.

Our condolences...my parents were "good friends" with your's & very much enjoyed their friendship in many aspects from business to social engagements...my mother, Floss George especially loved yours having many outings as each greatly valuing their times together...additionally-mom spoke to me often mentioning how much she thought of your's...our father's played golf in:

a regular Saturday game...and, I even fondly recall your dad's terrific "game of golf" edging me in a championship match at DGCC....Doug/Karen George & Family, Madison, WI

Your mom was a lovely lady. So sweet and fun to get to know. My mom Charlotte vs Dunlap and Mother-in-law Lois Rugger enjoyed their friendship with Dorothy At Keystone. So many giggles and fun times with her. I loved to visit Dorothy when they were both there and then after they passed, I visited a couple times She was a wonderful lady.
