Mya was born in 1948 to Claude and Linda (Boder) Kimzey. Mya graduated from West Liberty in 1966.
Mya enjoyed nature, friends and family and her passion was music. She wrote these lyrics when she knew the end was near:
Autumn when wind begin to blow
When leaves turn red and gold
And life begins to slow
Fields find harvest day
When sunlight starts to fade
And skies are turning gray
When seasons change there is
Bound to be some rain
When seasons change
Only love remains
In Autum when leaves are letting go
When song birds are flying home
And rain turns to snow
Sitt’n by the fire at seasons end
In gratitude for all that’s been
When I hear the angels sing
Amen
Mya is survived by her son Jason(Traci), their children and grandchildren. Sisters Marty and Gloria.
Mya was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry and special friend Ruthe.
