Obituary of Lazaro Bwayo

Lazaro Bwayo, age 21, passed away on September 10, 2025 in Iowa City.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at River Community Church.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born on March 2, 2004 in Uganda, Lazaro was the son of Simon and Mary (Buteme) Bwayo.  He went to City High School in Iowa City.  Lazaro was currently working at Casey’s in Coralville.

He enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends.  He especially loved time with his son, Kaiston, before he moved out of Iowa with his mom.  Lazaro also liked listening to music, singing, dancing, working out and babysitting his nieces. 

Lazaro was a wonderful son, father, brother, uncle and friend to many.  He will be deeply missed, especially by his close family, Simon, Mary, and Kai Bwayo.
