Condolences
Marisa, Duane and the entire family; my condolences at the sudden loss of Jim. I would occasionally run into Jim on my infrequent visits to Oxford and he was always the amicable, friendly person I remember, and all the tributes describe. In high school, I traveled in different circles than Jim (& Duane) but we were still classmates from Kindergarten through graduation. (I think it took me until 9th grade to know for sure who was Jim and who was Duane!) When we were in grade school, I remember riding my pony into Oxford and met up with Jim and Duane with their ponies and other kids with theirs. My memory is we all rode together down the middle of town, not really caring that traffic was trying to get around us. At the time it seemed like there were 15 - 20 of us riding in that "gang" on that day when in reality it was probably just five or six of us.
My condolences to Jim's family. Spent a lot of time with him and Duane as kids many nights driving the streets of Oxford.
