Ronnie was born February 23rd, 1980 to Juanita Major (Kemp) and Ronnie Shannon who proceeded him in death. Ronnie was raised on the west side of Chicago where he attended Chalmers Elementary and Manley High school. Ronnie loved to do a lot of things such as basketball, football and mostly his video.

Ronnie moved his family from Chicago IL to Iowa City Iowa in 2011 where they joined Gospel Explosion Ministry where he then gave his life over to God under the guidance of Pastor Boyer and Minister Bernie. Ronnie married his long time high school girlfriend Loraine in 2012, they spent 26 years together and shared 8 children & 7 grandchildren. Ronnie’s kids and his grandkids was his heart. He did everything with them and taught them everything he learned growing up, like how to play basketball, football, and even video games but most importantly he taught them never to take anything in life for granted and always go above and beyond to reach their goals and achievements by any means necessary and always make yourself proud. Ronnie was the type of husband/ father and grandfather that went above and beyond making sure everyone had what they needed even if that meant he went without anything. Ronnie left a mark on this earth and he will truly truly be missed.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Loraine, his children and grandchildren Dwyane (Megan, Cam,& Niya), Davonte (Aalyah & Jahmir), Jessica (Lo’ron & Ja’Siah), Lonisha (Jeremiah & Ja’Mari), Ronnie Jr, Tyrell, Dasoni & Delonte.
