Obituary of David Cletus Meade

David Cletus Meade passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Solon, Iowa. He was 62 years old. David was born on April 28, 1963, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Duane Meade and Donna Slade of Cosgrove, Iowa. He graduated from Clear Creek High School, and proudly served his country for 24 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring with honor. For over 30 years, David called Solon, Iowa, home and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.

David is survived by his devoted wife, Leslie Meade; his four loving children, BreAnn (Aguilar), Justin (Parker), Noamaleniu (Ford), and Vikolia (DeReus); and seven adored grandchildren: Arianna, TJ, Jordyn, Jaedyn, Kaira, Nayven, and Luka. He is also survived by his siblings, Lori (Martinez), Daniel Meade, and Stacia (Bissell); and his former wife, Selina  Meade. He was preceded in death by his parents, Duane Meade and Donna Dietrich.

A Celebration of David’s Life will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Life Church in Coralville, Iowa. All family, friends, and anyone who wishes to gather to celebrate and remember Dave are welcome.
