Our enduring memories of Kevin are his loyalty to his family and passion for the Hawks, Cards and Vikings. When Debi, Kevin and David were growing up, our families were quite close, visiting each other often. I can recall back then that Kevin, as the oldest boy in the family, was a little hard on David, which was only natural. It can now be told that the reason he was hard on David was because Debi was the one that was really in charge since she was the oldest and she ruled with an iron fist, so to speak. So, if Kevin wanted to practice being in charge, he had to pick on David, the youngest.
Vicki and I appreciated seeing Kevin whenever we made the trip back to Iowa City and the family gathered for an event. Kevin never changed, he was always upbeat, laid back and made it a point to say hello and ask about my mom and sister. Our condolences to his closest family: Jared, Debi, David, Todd, Barb & Virginia and his extended family as well. Wish we could be there but health issues preclude travel at this time. We love you all and above all, Be Safe!
Kevin was such a good Dad. I called Kevin about once a month and talked to him recently about how many of our classmates had passed. We went to the Gator bowl together saw each other at ORD in Uniform by chance and went to the snow game Iowa vrs Minnesota years ago. You will be missed
Dear Deb, Virginia and extended family, I'm so sorry for your loss of Kevin. It's never easy to lose a loved one and I wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you during this very difficult time. What a nice picture and obituary of him.

My deep and heartfelt sympathies to all of Kevin's family and friends. The summer of 1973 I babysat for Kevin and his siblings. What fun we had! Then Kevin was a junior groomsman in my husband Garry's and my wedding in 1974. I have many fond memories of the Fountain children. I am praying that God gives all of you comfort and meets your every need today and in the days ahead. I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure Kevin will be greatly missed.
I was a classmate of Kevin's at Cith High. What an awesome person and an good friend in school. He will be missed. My prayers go out to his family. Rest in peace my friend. See you agin.
My condolences to Kevin's family, he was one of a kind and I enjoyed working with him all his years with Mediacom and the other cable companies we were a part of. Some of my favorite memories include our playing for the company softball team and our many conversations and arguments about sports! He will be missed by all of us. Rest in peace my friend and co-worker. Rick K
