Obituary of Charles Cameron Llewellyn

Charles Cameron Llewellyn, age 20, of Hazelton, Iowa, formerly of Brenham, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Born on June 10, 2005 in Logan, Utah, Charles was the son of James and Jennifer (Knudsen) Llewellyn.  Charles moved with his family from Logan, Utah to Brenham, Texas.  He was a quirky, funny and goofy boy who laughed and joked a lot.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Charles was loved by his church family, and they delighted in watching him grow, literally, to 6’7”.

Charles had a great capacity for hard work and enjoyed using his hands to fix things.  He spent many long hours helping his family build and maintain a boutique hotel in Texas.  Charles was appreciated by his co-workers and was described as dependable, kind, reliable, and generous.  He was always willing to spend time helping others.

Charles’ family includes his parents, James and Jennifer; siblings: Emma, Thomas, and Faith; his maternal grandmother, Karen Knudsen; his paternal grandfather, Richard Llewellyn; aunts and uncles: Leah (Bruce) Graham, Heather (Aaron) Jurguitis, Jared Llewellyn, Allison (Shaun) Beckerman, Kristin (Brian) Shaw, Chris (Jamie) Knudsen, John (Tammy) Knudsen, Cindy (Wayne) Millsap, and Donna (Lon) Young; as well as many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mikel Knudsen; paternal grandmother, Pamela Llewellyn; and an uncle, John Llewellyn.

His family is grateful to the amazing medical staff at the University of Iowa Health Care Medical Center that cared so well for him during his hospital stay.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 3, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brenham, Texas.  Charles will be buried in St. George, Utah.

The family requests that donations be made to your local food bank or to NAMI.org in lieu of flowers.
