I'm so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I started with Sohio as an engineering co-op in 1983 and hired on when I graduated in 1985. I admired Bob as an engineer and always appreciated his intelligence and kindness. He made a lasting impression on me early in my career. My sincere condolences to his family.

My condolences to your family. I worked with Bob and Judy for the start up of the Lima BDO plant. I still recall his teaching often in my current engineering role. I didn’t fully appreciate how lucky I was to learn from him in those early years of my career. I definitely realize it now!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Bob's family. Shared many lunches discussing work and life with Bob, Bob G, Lou and David.

Julie, our prayers are with you. Just found out about Bob this last weekend. He and I traveled and worked together quite a bit. I always enjoyed his knowledge and patience in teaching me some things along with making the hard work somehow fun. He was my tour guide when I interviewed at the Warrensville lab in 1980 and then we worked together in Development Engineering. Later he worked on the MTC-Sohio JV in Japan (where I was the business representative) and the BDO plant built in Lima (where I helped secure the funding). He and I traveled quite a bit in early 2000's looking for the site for the 2nd BDO plant. Our Malaysia trip has some interesting nuances. His approach to work and life were fantastic. I am honored to have worked with him.

Dear Hepfer Family Betty, Brenda. Don and Ruth

Condolences, Sorry to hear of the loss of Bob. We remember him very well. He was a good neighbor and babysitter, Hepfer's were our neighbors for many years. Dean built our home down the road from Hepfer's farm in 1958. They were great neighbors and Don and Emma raised a wonderful family. We haven't seen the family for some time but we think about them often. Good memories. A happy, hard working family.

Julie-Though we really didn’t know each other, I always looked forward to seeing you and Bob walking to St. Patrick’s when I was on my morning walk with Dalilla. We have both suffered great loss this past year. May your years of memories and everlasting love sustain you.

Julie, my heart goes out to you and your beautiful family.

I will always remember the twinkle in Bob's eyes and his beautiful, calming smile. Fondly, remembering the Halloween candy dispenser. (He shared the pictures of the dispenser with me while helping host “Sit and Sip” at St. Patrick)
