..Saddened to learn that Lorna has passed away. She and Jack sure made a pair!.. I met Lorna when she and Jack were dating. Jack was from Coralville, and I knew him as 'an older kid' in school. Jack and I were lifelong friends, beginning when Jack became Scoutmaster of our Coralville Troop 207 in about 1960 or so.. Together Jack and Lorna had a long life totally together. NOW they are together again. MY condolences to the Family.

Lorna was always there to answer a question that you had at work. She was always there for us. I enjoyed working with her. My condolences go to her family and friends. She will be missed
Lorna was my senior at NCS in the fall of 1993 when I worked as a temporary employee for 5 or 6 weeks. I was hired on full time right after that working in the same area but not reporting to Lorna.
Of course everyone loved payday brownies she would bring in. I always enjoyed taking to Lorna. Even after I transitioned out of the Data Prep area, we would catch up when I would be going through her area including after her group move to the CR facility.
She loved her family, quite proud of all of them and spoke of them often.
Lorna, you will be greatly missed.
The world lost a great one! Lorna was my Senior at NCS from 1996 - 2000. I started at NCS as a young kid working for rent money. I was unreliable, late, and unmotivated. Lorna taught me so much and believed in me. She helped me get new tires on my car, got me to work, called and got my rear end out of bed, advocated for me and played a huge part in my life. She taught me how to be a grown up in the work place. 26 years later, I'm still here at Pearson and have built a successful career. Lorna played a huge part in all of that. I will forever remember her wit, our catch ups through the years and my favorite, pay day brownies. Rest in peace Lorna - you were more than just a boss, you were a friend and a mentor and most importantly, my work mother. Condolences to all of the family, she talked about you all the time with pride and love.
In the spring of 2008, I was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo radiation treatments. Lorna, my boss, was extremely kind to me. She let me work at my desk instead of on the line and assigned a specific task to me which I could do with my limited energy. She made it possible for me both to be a productive employee and a cancer patient in the same day. I will never forget her kindness to me. Thank you, Lorna! I will miss you.
Prayers for comfort. So sorry for your loss!
Our Condolences to the entire families. I worked
With Lorna for 13-14 years at Pearson Iowa City (Data Prep) we joke around I'm a talker she ssshhhh me a lot but but I just smiled at her and every potluck I always wrapped a separate lumpia (eggrolls) for her she loves it. The memories I had with her for those years will be my treasure. Rest in Peace Lorna now you're with Jack up in heaven also your assistant Sue Sedlacek. Dolly & Bill Reindl Oxford
My father was Louis 'Bud' Goetz and worked for Carl Chadek trucking for many, many years. Dad was a lifelong friends of Carl's. It was through him that I became acquainted with the Chadek girls. Lorna also was my Girl Scout leader in the early 60's; I always enjoyed visiting with her when we would see each other at the grocery store. I will remember her as always having a smile on her face. My sympathy to you all.
So sorry to hear this. We are praying for you and your family. ❤️ Tim and Stacy Rogers
Sarah, so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. I remember meeting her and your Dad a few years ago. They were a very sweet couple. Love and prayers to
You and your family.
Lorna was an amazing neighbor and friend. We will dearly miss her but will take solace in the fact she will be reunited with Jack. Jack will trumpet her entrance into heaven!
My sister Pat and I are Lorna’s First Cousins. Our late mother was Carl’s sister, Hazel. When we were young, we would visit with our Grandparents, Joe and Lulu, and then hurry up the street to spend time with our cousins. Such wonderful memories! I can still hear Lorna’s laughter. Love and condolences to Lorna’s family. Rest in peace, Lorna, and know that you are loved by many.
Dear Feslers, I've worked with Lorna since 1989 and she will be missed in the halls. She would bake brownies each Thursday morning and bring them into work for us. She taught me so many life lessons for home and at work. My heart aches at the loss of this wonderful life and I know she is dancing with Jack again. Love to all, Lisa Antill
