Glenn Robert Jensen was born on December 8, 1969, in Iowa City, the son of John Howard and Dorothyjean (Donohoe) Jensen. He attended Iowa City schools and graduated from Iowa City West High School, earning a standing ovation from his classmates, a moment that perfectly captured how much he was loved.
Over the years, Glenn worked at a variety of local businesses, including Best Rental or Rent All, Coral Ridge Theatres, and the University Dining Hall, along with several other part time roles. No matter where he worked, Glenn left a lasting impression by bringing energy, humor, and joy to everyone around him. To know Glenn was to love him.
Glenn was anything but bashful. He was truly the life of the party, and he loved a good party. He embraced life fully, enjoying dancing, karaoke, Special Olympics, swimming, movies, and most of all, time spent with family, friends, and his beloved dog, Lucky.
His favorite day of the year was December 8, his birthday. By December 9, he was already looking forward to the next one. That was Glenn, always celebrating, always joyful, and impossible not to love.
