Obituary of Saundra Jean Wendorf-Kellogg
Sandy J. Wendorf-Kellogg, age 58 of Albia, died Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Saundra Jean Kellogg was born November 25, 1967, in Albia, the daughter of Louis “Butch” and Wilma (Ritter) Kellogg. She attended and graduated from school in Albia. Following high school she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where she would reside for the next thirty years. Here she worked in management in food service. Here is also where she met and eventually married the love of her life, Tracey D. Wendorf. The couple returned to Albia in November of 2025.
Sandy enjoyed so much in life, a movie buff since childhood, loved any form of comedy as she felt the world needed to laugh more. She was an artist, writer, had the most unique laugh of anyone, and you knew it was her when you heard it. But of all the joys in her life, nothing compared to those that came from her children and grandchildren, as there was nothing in this world that topped the words Mom & Popi!
Her family includes her wife, Tracey; their children, Andrew Ippolito, Patrick Ippolito, Desiree Ippolito, Michaela Ippolito (Barry Hunter) and Michelle Macmurchy; 16 grandchildren, her mother, Wilma Kellogg, brother, Joey Kellogg (Kelly) and many aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Butch.
