Obituary of Dianne Hesseltine

Dianne Rae (Gross) Hesseltine, 59, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Solon Nursing Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on March 19, 1967, Dianne was a caring and generous woman whose greatest joy in life was taking care of others. She spent many years working as a hairstylist before later serving as a cook at the Salvation Army Church, where she was also a devoted member. Preparing meals for those in need brought her happiness, and she took pride in making sure everyone around her felt cared for, welcomed, and fed.

Dianne had a deep love for life’s simple moments. She loved spoiling her grandchildren, gardening, and bird watching — especially hummingbirds — as well as spending as much time outdoors as possible. Above all else, she was a giver. Someone who always put others first and made sure her family and friends knew they were loved.

She is survived by her children, Victoria Doe and husband Jeremy, Jessica Anderson and husband Tom, and Josh Hesseltine and wife Diane; her cherished grandchildren, James, Jasper, Aria, Alahna, Preston, Bryce, Si'Mier, Jeremiah, Caleb; the father of her children, Duncan Hesseltine; and her siblings, Carmel Gross, John Gross, Judith Mast, and Linda Gross-Newell. Dianne also shared a close bond with many nieces and nephews, who brought her great joy throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Gross; and her sisters, Debbie, Pam, Sharon, and Brenda Gross.

Private family services will be held at a later date, with burial at Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service.

Dianne will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
