Obituary of Lynda L. Domino
Lynda Lee Domino, age 63, of Iowa City, passed away on May 27, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Illinois.
Born on September 22, 1962, in Monmouth, Illinois, Lynda was the daughter of Lan and Rayma Pinney. She received her Associate Degree of Nursing degree from NIACC in 1987. In the late 1990s she obtained her B.S. and M.S. in History from Iowa State University. She published and presented papers on the civil war and civil war medicine and studied in the UK.
Lynda was united in marriage to Gregg Domino in Ames. She worked as an R.N. at the University of Iowa for last 10 years.
Lynda’s hobbies and interest included music, singing, reading, history, traveling and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. In high school she performed in several plays and musicals. She particularly loved to travel in the UK and Scotland.
Lynda’s family includes her husband, Gregg Domino; a son, Kyle Domino of Ames; a daughter, Caitlyn Domino of Cedar Rapids; a grandson, Chase Domino; her parents, Lanny and Rayma Pinney; a sister, Susan Pinney; a brother, Ray (Amy) Pinney; five nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by a niece, Gabriella Sinnott.
