Obituary of Kelly A. Laschanzky

Kelly A. Laschanzky, age 56 of West Branch died at her home with her family by her side on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Kelly Ann Hanson was born March 14, 1970, in Iowa City the daughter of Richard and Diane (McBride) Hanson.  Attending Iowa City schools, she graduated with the Class of 1988 from City High School.  For many years she worked at Purethane in West Branch as a Quality Control Supervisor.  Kelly was united in marriage to John R. Laschanzky on August 29, 1995, in Tipton, Iowa. She enjoyed life simply, boat rides with her father, reading a good book, listening to Dolly Parton, watching Iowa Hawkeye Football, and always finding time for a game of Yahtzee! 

Her family includes her husband, John; their two children, Andrew Laschanzky and Allison Laschanzky; siblings, Rick Hanson and Jody Atkins and her stepmother, Rhonda Hanson.    She was preceded in death by her parents.
