I cannot express enough how much grief I have felt for Grant and his family. Over the past few months, I’m sure the constant wondering about his whereabouts and safety has been exhausting. Grant was my first love and I learned so much about life, love, and creativity with him. Last night while I was finding it nearly impossible to sleep I stumbled upon this post by Grant himself from June 2013: “If I get a wikipedia I want it so say...Grant Wongsatorn Leonard (Born Wongsatorn Buasorn November 13, 1993 Thailand) Is an asian born, American chef, singer-song writer, documentary film maker, artist, and occasional rapper. And about 10 more things I try to do on a weekly basis. And I revived the Seattle SuperSonics. Because they should have won.” It made me smile as his voice and heart on his sleeve are so clearly represented. I will never hear the song “World Spins Madly On” by the Weepies again without shedding a tear and maybe a smile for Grant. His tattoo of that music video embodied his spirit so well. Might have to get that tattoo myself in his memory. Beth, Tim, Jack, and to the rest of your family, I am truly sorry for your loss and would love to catch up and share memories with you some day. Much love, Aurora Green.
