Obituary of Diana Kloos

Diana L. Kloos, age 66 of Belle Plaine, died Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Diana Lynn Heitman was born February 10, 1960 in Marengo, Iowa the daughter of Raymond and Alice (Tompkins) Heitman.  She attended schools in Marengo, graduating with the Class of 1978 from Iowa Valley High School.  When she wasn’t being the worlds best Mom, she worked as an office receptionist for a number of different businesses throughout the years.  On November 26, 2003, she married Ronald J. Kloos in Marengo.

Diana enjoyed much in life, and often life wasn’t easy for her but that never took her smile and spirit away.  She loved sewing, doing crafting & diamond art, meeting at the Lincoln Café for coffee and friends, driving the golf cart around town, but most and foremost was her family!  She loved them dearly and even those who were not blood, she loved you!

Her family includes her husband, Ron; children, Heather Walker (Brian), Bryan Allnutt (Melinda), Michelle Robbins, Jessi Ballard (James Gooden) and Kenny Kloos (Christina), 20 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her mother, Alice Heitman; 3 siblings, Randy Heitman (Donna), Julie Droessler (Mark) and Sheryl Schafbuch (Jim); and nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandson.
