Obituary of Susan Dolan

Susan D. Dolan, age 72 of Iowa City died Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at her home under the compassionate care of Iowa City Hospice, surrounded by her family including her dog!

Susan Denise Dolan was born June 15, 1954, in Iowa City, the daughter of Dennis and Elizabeth (Voelker) Dolan.  Years after high school she started working for Proctor & Gamble at the Iowa City Plant, retiring after nearly 40 years there.  She has spent the last 31 years with her life partner, Bob Fittro living here in Iowa City.

Her family includes Bob; her brother and his wife, Michael and Diane Dolan; sister-in-law, Beth Dolan; 4 stepchildren, and many grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Alan Dolan.
