Obituary of Del V. Moore

Del V. Moore, age 82, of Coralville, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Solon Care Center.

No services are planned at this time.

Born on June 20, 1944, in Greeley Colorado, Del was the son of Delmer and Marlys (Uetter) Moore.  Following high school, Del served in the United States Navy.

Del was united in marriage to Margaret Wierson on July 14, 1989, at First United Methodist Church in Iowa City.  He was a Painter, worked in construction and did maintenance for rental properties in the area.

He enjoyed playing pool, cards and Chess.  Del also enjoyed sitting and watching television while holding Margaret’s hand.  He was a strong man of God and attended Living Work Christian Fellowship and LIFE Church.

His family includes his wife, Margaret; a son, Don Moore; his stepchildren, Sara Meeker and Lee Meeker; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Martha (Carl) Fosmir; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Joan Northup.
