Condolences
Hugs and prayers for the grief journey to Barb's family and friends. So enjoyed Barb as their family lived close to us for quite a few years. Such a caring , sweet person! May you feel the peace from knowing she is at home with Jesus.

So sorry to hear about Barb’s passing. We had some good times at family reunions and spending time at Uncle Harry’s and Aunt Jean’s. She will be deeply missed.
Bob & family,
So sorry to hear of your loss Bob. Did not know Barb well but you and her together seemed to make a great couple. My sympathy to you and the kids. Remember to take care of yourself now.

Bob and Family, Thoughts and Prayers for Peace, Comfort and Memories. Beautiful words to describe such a beautiful Barb. Blessed to have been a neighbor and friend, she was a witness to me in my youth and a friend. The Love of Christ and her Family a sweet evidence and a huge impact on my life and Love of Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Until we meet again, fly high and rest in your reward.
Bob and kids,
I'm so very sorry to hear this news. Barb was an amazing lady. She was always ready with a helping hand and a quick smile. Her bright fun spirit will be missed. I know heaven is brighter with her there..
Love you all
Such good memories of Barb during my time at New Oaks. Loved being a part of watching Robbie and Josiah grow up. May God bless your family and may you feel the peace that surpasses all understanding.
Being Barb’s cousin and being the same age as her, I had the great pleasure of growing up with her. I will never forget all of the amazing times we had together and the heartfelt talks that we all had at our Grandparents farm. I don’t think a one of us still aren’t in love with that place.
Barb, you and your bright bubbly personality will be greatly missed here on earth, I will never ever forget that night after the Hen party and Val walked in from work to find both of us , very pregnant sitting in the middle of the kitchen table because we saw a mouse. Oh my, the memories flow at times like this, yet they ease the sorrow a little and we find out that we can still smile.
I’m gonna miss you
Kay

We are so sorry for your loss. We have such fond memories of our times together. We loved Barb. This is a beautiful obituary. May your memories be for a blessing.
When I moved to Iowa City from Texas, I knew no one. I met Barb at work at the University of Iowa. We became fast friends. We had two children the same ages and spent days together visiting, laughing, baking, and even doing laundry and hanging clothes on the line. She became my best friend, and when I moved back down south, we corresponded in lengthy letters to one another. I will forever remember Barb’s kindness and open heart to me and my family. She was a dear friend.
