Bruce Edwin Rademacher was born July 30, 1957, in Evansville, Indianna the son of Homer and Ann (Jurgensmeier) Rademacher.  Following graduation from Central High School in Evansville, he attended and received his BS degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University. Later after moving to Iowa City, he attended Graduate School in the Studies of Pharmacology. He has spent his working career as a pharmacist, working full-time at the former Mercy Hospital and retiring from the Iowa Healthcare-Downtown Campus.  He also had worked at Liberty Pharmacy and Walgreens in Iowa City doing what he loved, helping so many people with their pharmacy needs.

Bruce married the love of his life, Karen Marie Kelewae on January 1, 1990, here in Iowa City.  To this marriage they were blessed with four children, Kaitlynn, Phillipp, Annelise and Danielle.  His family, his church and faith, his friends and coworkers through the years and the many that he was able to help was his calling and purpose in life; but most important was keeping his family safe and cared for!

His family includes his wife, Karen; children, Kaitlynn Moore and her husband, Michael, Phillipp, Annelise and Danielle; a brother and his wife, John and Alice Rademacher.  Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, brothers James and Thomas, and sister, Jean.

Our family would like to thank Moments Hospice and the River Community Church family for helping make this journey easier. And a special thank you to all of the prayer warriors who kept us uplifted during this time.

If you knew Bruce well, you knew one of his passions, if not addictions was Star Trek!  “Beam Me Up Scotty”
