Vern E. Schnoebelen

Vern E. Schnoebelen, 85, of Iowa City, died Friday, August 28, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, September 3, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City, where Sunday Parking Ordinance is in effect for the streets near the church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. Private burial will take place at Lone Tree Cemetery. Gertrude “Trudy” Riley

Gertrude “Trudy” Riley, 98, of Iowa City, died Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, September 4, 2015, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, where a period of visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m., and last until the start of the service. Loyce J. Larsen, 89 longtime resident of the Iowa City area died Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at the Iowa City Nursing and Rehab Center.  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Iowa City with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until services on Saturday at the Church.   A memorial fund has been established in Loyce’s memory. Thomas R. Wade II

Thomas R. Wade, 54, died May 8, 2015 in New Mexico.  A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015, at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City where a reception will immediately follow. Private family burial of Tom’s cremated remains will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the following: American Diabetes Association, 2270 Wyoming Blvd NE, Suite D#284, Albuquerque, NM 87112; SNIP c/o HART, PO Box 267, Los Lunas, NM 87031(this is a low cost spay and neuter program for the county); or Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church (Music), 25 Wesley Rd, Peralta, NM 87042.
