Obituary of Mary Marie McNabb

Mary M. McNabb, 63 of Iowa City died Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at the Church of the Nazarene in Iowa City, burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Mary’s memory. Online condolences may be sent for her family through the web @www.gayandciha.com. Mary worked for over 38 years at Mercy Hospital before retiring, she continued there as a volunteer. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Eagles Club, and Eagle Riders. She was a bonafide clown, who enjoyed clowning for children of all ages! She also enjoyed bowling for years, on a league for many of them. Her family includes her son, Joe; 2 brothers, Dan (Marilyn) Morgan and William (Mary) Morgan; 1 sister, Juanita Caudill; numerous nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Mark Tappan. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, half brother, and a child at birth.
