Obituary of Barbara Carole Seering

Barbara Carole Seering (Rogers) 81, a former Iowa City resident passed away on March 6, 2012, at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center, Prescott, AZ with family at her bedside after a long terminal illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Seering who passed away on August 23, 1983. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints @ 2730 Bradford Drive, Iowa City, Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 till 6 p.m. Sunday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. A memorial fund has been established in her memory. She graduated from Iowa City High School, attended the Irish Business School in Iowa City, and in her later years worked for the family business Rogers Shoe Repair. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Barbara will be deeply missed by one brother John Rogers of Fort Collins, CO; eight children, Keith (Nancy) of Prescott, AZ, Cynthia Seering and Kevin Seering (Admen) all of Prescott Valley, AZ, Kelvin (Ruby) of West Valley City, UT, Kenneth (Cheryl) of Dewey, AZ, Charlene Vallas (Pablo) of Carson City, NV, Kent of Phoenix, AZ, and Korey (Charlene) of Casper, WY, 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her husband Charles, Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Norman, Robert, Keith and Kenneth; and an infant brother, Jerry.
