Kaleek Jones was born August 5th 1995, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Ronald Bonds and Shafona Jones. Kaleek was the oldest of five children, he was the first grandchild, and the testosterone this family of women needed.
Kaleek started his journey in life in Des Moines, Iowa, moving to Iowa City when he was 7 years old. As a child, Kaleek enjoyed hanging out with friends and loving on his siblings. From an early age it was known Kaleek was wise beyond his years. His loyalty and dedication to his family never went unnoticed, making him loved by any and all that knew him.
Kaleek Jones grew into an amazing young man. His fiancée, Alyssa, was in his own words, "The only woman in the world for me, my Queen and soulmate." Vari and Lilla, his children, were the apples of his eye. As a Daddy he did it all, bottles, diapers, and playing "Mr. Frog." Kaleek had a gift with children and they loved him. Whenever Kaleek's help was called upon, he would step up with help however needed without hesitation. Kaleek lived life to its fullest, and would light up everyone and everything around him. His eyes would sparkle, he would crack a smile, and that laugh would be contagious. You could hear him singing, rapping (oh Lord) and shaking his dreads at times, music was always a passion for Kaleek.
He grew to be the host of many family gatherings, and began to be known as quite the grill master, as cooking was also another passion of his. Children could be seen and heard laughing and playing, Kaleek's music blaring, with the adults playing cards, with a drink and good conversation. Kaleek was the center of it all. Kaleek was the master in whatever he chose to do, cake decorating, babysitting, mowing grass, moving furniture, laundry, mediating, and partying. In essence, he worked very hard, but played even harder. As he grew into a man, the world was his for the taking, he had plans to go back to school and open up his own family restaurant, of course he had plans for each family member to be a part of his dream. Whatever life threw at him Kaleek embraced and made the most of it. Everyone that knew Kaleek, loved him for Kaleek. He was real, loyal and unwavering on his journey in life. His experiences during life will be the moments and treasured memories we will all cherish... Most of all, his love for life and his family. Kaleek made everyone and everything a little better simply by sharing his love and spirit.
