Emma "Jane" Dinsmore
1927 - 2014
Condolences
This is for Jim - and also to Jane's other children and family: Jane was a good friend to my mother, Evelyn Fesler. She was one of "the girls" mother used to chum with. I last saw Jane at Mercy when she came up with another lady to visit Mother - a couple of nights before mom crossed over. I still remember Jane saying to mother something close to "You will be getting out of here soon won't you". Mother couldn't speak due to health and oxygen issues, but gave a resounding NOD affirmative to let them know that was her goal. God Bless your mother Jane Dinsmore and our Coralville connections. Sorry to be tardy by not keeping up with newspapers. Condolences for your loss. ....Jack
Sue, Mike and Family:
So sorry for the loss of your mother. Prayers and thoughts are with all of you. Do regret that we were not able to attend the services--found out about her passing to late. Take care.

I ran into your mom at the legion convention last weekend. I had never met her before but she invited me to sit with her and we chatted for a long while abt a variety of things. Such a sweet lady. She made me laugh.
So sorry to hear of Jane's passing. She was a great lady. When reporting at meetings she was full of energy and knew what she was speaking about. She will be missed by all of us Aux. members!
I am so sorry to hear of Janes passing. I live on the same street as Jane and we knew her for many years. She was always such a friendly warm person. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Dear Jane was doing what she loved on Friday, visiting with her ALA friends. I had a great chat with her. She was the ultimate in giving of herself and kindness to others. She will certainly be missed. Thank you to Jane's family for sharing her with us.
Tristan and family members - I'm so sorry to hear that Great-Grandma Jane passed away. It is a sad day, but remember the fun days you had together. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dear TJ,
So sorry to hear about Grandma Jane----she was kind, loveing person----So happy you were able to have her in your life. She leaves you with many happy memories! Take Care and Love Jan
I can't say enough wonderful things about Dear Jane! Warm, caring, loving, welcoming . . . She truly had a heart of gold. Jane has been a part of my life through the American Legion Auxiliary for nearly 30 years. We traveled together, attended meetings together, worked side by side at the Iowa City VA together. Jane will truly be missed and I want to be sure to let her family know that our American Legion Family has been blessed to have known Jane and we are thankful that you shared her with us. Her fall was tragic, however, I truly believe that next to her biological family, she was right where she would have wanted to be, surrounded by her friends and the organization that she loved and gave so much to during her full life. Jane, may you rest in peace and may your family find strength in knowing that you touched so many lives. Your legacy will live on through your biological family and your American Legion family.
For God and Country,
Tammy Richardson, American Legion Auxiliary Department of Iowa President-Elect
I first became acquainted with Jane at my first American Legion/American Legion Auxiliary Convention over 20 years ago. I sat at a banquet table with Jane and others. She was very friendly with a warm smile and personality. Thank you Jane, for your warm smile and kind heart for those you served for many years, our Veterans and their family. I will hold dear that first smile, welcoming me as a new member.
Jane was a great friend and volunteer at volunteer services at The
Iowa City VA Hospital. We were the Tuesday group that
volunteered together. She will be greatly missed.
When we were told the time she passed away was when we always
went to lunch. Jeanette & Jane F always went down and got her lunch
for her then Jane & Jane would eat together while the rest of us would
go to the cafateria to eat our lunch.
We will keep all her family in our prayers
