Obituary of Carole L. Stockton

Carole l. Stockton, age 69 of 1355 Shannon Drive, Iowa City died Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held at 2pm Saturday at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. A gathering for family and friends will be after 1:30 Saturday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service until leaving for the cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Carole Louise Dallas was born August 4, 1937 in Brownfield, TX the daughter of James and Marie (Butler) Dallas. She has been an Iowa City resident for many years where she worked in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She enjoyed watching Iowa Hawkeye Sports, volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House, and spending time with her family. Her family includes three children, Ronald Stockton of Odessa, TX, Jim Stockton and his wife, Michele of Minneapolis, MN, and Cheryl Stockton and Fransisco Uribe of Highland, IN; and four grandchildren, Christopher, Jaclyn, Lindsey, and Marie Stockton. Carole was preceded in death by her parents. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Carole’s family and her services.
