Obituary of James F. Mccullum

James F. McCullum, 78 of 2430 Muscatine Avenue, Iowa City, was found Saturday, March 10, 2007 at his home following a sudden death. Memorial services will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray, Pennsylvania at a later date. No local services are planned. James Francis McCullum was born November 5, 1928, in McKeesport, PA, the son of James and Irene (Gilday) McCullum. He graduated from Canonsburg High School and later went on to Carnegie Mellon University all in Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a degree in architectural engineering. He moved to Iowa City to continue in his profession in the early 80’s. Following retirement he went back to college at the University of Iowa where he graduated with a degree in history. James was a member of the Newman Catholic Center in Iowa City. His family includes brother, Paul McCullum, nephew, Kevin McCullum both of Pennsylvania , three nieces, Suzan McCullum of North Carolina, Maureen McCullum, Colleen McCullum , and his sister-in-law, Pat McCullum all of Pennsylvania.
